Twin City Fan Companies, Ltd. is a leading designer and manufacturer of industrial and commercial air moving equipment with facilities in the United States and around the world. We have an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Drafter with sheet metal experience with strong preference given to candidates with fan industry experience.

Primary Purpose:
Prepares clear, complete and accurate assembly and detail drawings from rough or detailed sketches or notes.

• Makes final sketches and drawings of fans and related air handling equipment, including certified prints for customer submittals and manufacturing drawings for fabrication or purchase.
• Update and create bills of material.
• Verifies dimensional integrity of part details, materials to be used, relation of one part to another, and relation of various parts to the whole structure or project.
• Makes any adjustments or changes necessary or desired.
• Draws finished designs from sketches, and assembly and detail drawings for special sales orders or changes to standard products.
• Uses Auto computer assisted drafting (CAD) equipment and software.
• Processes engineering change requests (ECRs) as required.
• Reviews and checks standard drawing submittals and entry level revisions. Includes completion of customer and shop Print and Mailing Request forms.
• Communicates with manufacturing personnel to resolve drafting errors, insufficient information on drawings and other drafting related issues.
• Competent to process all jobs not requiring extensive layouts or demanding visualization skills, including performing calculations and creating all necessary drawings for the production and communication of commercial products such as power roof ventilators, tube axial fans, propeller roof and wall fans, inline centrifugal fans.
• Other duties as assigned or apparent.

• One year certificate from college or technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three + years related experience in sheet metal, bend allowances, and welded fabrication drafting or equivalent combination of education and experience. Fan industry experience is a plus.
• Ability to utilize AutoCAD design associated with the order fulfillment process, new product development, or customized products.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret instructions, short correspondences, memos, operating and maintenance manuals, and procedure manuals. Ability to respond to common inquiries from other internal departments or manufacturing personnel.
• Detail oriented with excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Impeccable organization skills and the ability to multitask.
• Able to foster teamwork in a cross functional setting.
• Ability to work independently.
