Sales Application Engineer
Twin City Fan Companies, Ltd. is a leading designer and manufacturer of industrial
and commercial air moving equipment with facilities around the world. We have an
excellent opportunity for a skilled Sales Application Engineer. This is the perfect
position for an individual who wants to assume a key role and significantly contribute
to a dynamic, fast growing and entrepreneurial company.
Your responsibilities and contributions to success will include:
- Assist representatives in standard and special applications. Make special or difficult fan selections. Assist in pricing and help to solve technical problems in a timely manner.
- Work on large and/or special jobs.
- Assist Purchasing to specify purchase of special equipment and acces¬sories to meet customer specifications.
- Select and price the most effective fans for the application based on specifications.
- Follow up with customers or representatives on quotations. Work with the Engineering Department to interpret specifications and customer requirements. Review customer drawings and data.
- Work with the Manufacturing and Quality Assurance Departments to properly move the job through the shop to meet customer satisfac¬tion.
- Maintain and update technical knowledge of company products and competitors' products. Maintain adequate knowledge of buyout
- Partner with the Order Department and give them clear instructions on orders received.
- Keep abreast of competition, their price levels and new products; make suggestions and recommendations to keep our company competitive in the market place.
- Keep supervisors adequately informed on various jobs.
- Assist Customer Service department on any identified problem areas.
- Other duties as assigned or apparent.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with 1 - 2 years of sales application experience. Prefer experience in the fan industry.
- Effective communications and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work with minimum supervision and to make reasonable decisions
- High attention to detail.
